Initial Training for Eucharistic Ministers

Through prayer, reflection and praxis, participants will explore what it means to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist in the 21st Century. In Session One there will be a brief overview of the history and theology of the Eucharist. We will also explore the development of the role of the laity in the liturgical life of the Church. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of Eucharist and worship with one another. Session Two will address the call to ministry and what it means to be a Minister of the Eucharist in the Church of today’s world.
